Testimonials

"My mother is always asking me how I managed to find ‘such lovely ladies’ to take care of her. She is 88, a widow, and has sight, mobility and memory problems and would not be able to stay in her home of 50 years without considerable help.

Our first experience of a care agency was less than satisfactory, but as soon as we engaged Dial-a-Carer it was obvious that the level of professionalism and the quality of care ― and carers ― was of a different level altogether.

While the most important qualities are the kindness and respect always shown towards my mother, the organisational aspects of the service are excellent, too. Everything from the detailed record-keeping on a daily basis to the regular assessments and up-dating regarding my mother’s medical problems are very reassuring. All aspects of her care are considered, including her social needs for conversation and occupation. And the carers always communicate to me any concerns they have that need my attention.

Two of the qualities of the service I particularly value are reliability and flexibility. Although we have a regular timetable of care, there are some occasions when we need more or need to cancel a visit if we plan an outing for my mother. There have never been any problems with accommodating such needs.

We have a small team of regular carers and always receive rotas of visits in advance so that my mother knows who to expect ― though when I tell her, she always says ‘I don’t mind who it is: they’re all lovely!’"

"My Mum is 81 years of age, she has Dementia. My Husband and I had to find help, so I went looking on the internet. I was very lucky to find Dial a Carer they are just wonderful. The staff that looked after my mum were amazing. On their first visit a young lady came she was so good with my mum. She just sat with her talking about her life, we knew we had found the right service for mum.

The kindness they gave her and the care was fantastic! They are always available to help in any circumstance, the daily record keeping is very good, we could go out or go away knowing mum was well cared for.

We had to put mum into a home just before Christmas 2011, she is very happy there. It was her birthday Feb 04th 2012. Dial a Carer sent her a birthday card how kind of them to think of her now that they no longer care for her.

If you are looking for help and you are reading this; you have found the right service. Thank You Dial a Carer for taking good care of my mum Mrs Ethel Couchman"

"Thank you for your kind thoughts and card. The family really appreciated all your help in finding a carer for Dad at such short notice. When we were endeavouring to get Dad home from Broomfield at that time it just seemed that we were not getting anywhere. So when my brother spoke to you and you were so supportive and reassuring we can't  express how much that meant to us.

The carers you arranged for us did an excellent job in looking after Dad, treating him in the most dignified and caring manner. I would be most grateful if you would please thank them for me once again.

Please keep up the good work as I said it was so reassuring to have such kind and caring support during this most difficult and distressing time."

"Dial A Carer provided fantastic help to my 82 year old mother when she became very seriously ill and wanted to stay in her home.

They do much more for their clients and their families than you could reasonably expect. Their quiet, capable and gentler carers give confidence to families that their loved ones are really well looked after.

The service is flexible and efficient. Their managers are always available and willing to adapt as circumstances change.

We were in safe hands once they had taken us. They worked hard to get us the cover and support we needed, both in the day and throughout the nights.

I would recommend them most highly and have already suggested that my uncle and aunt use them!"
